Please complete ALL categories for each filmmaker.
DEADLINE: WEDNESDAY December 4, 2024 AT 8:00 PM
*** Please Remember: The majority of the films submitted are by NEW & EMERGING filmmakers. Sometimes it’s their first film. Digi60 serves as an important and constructive filmmaking and learning environment for new filmmakers. Do not compare films against each other. All films should be evaluated based on their own merits and abilities. Please consider this when looking at the films.
Guidelines:
1. Feedback should be constructive with the purpose of development for the filmmaker, as each filmmaker will receive the anonymized notes. Being constructive doesn’t mean putting them down.
2. Each section must be completed with a numerical value and freeform written evaluation of at least a few sentences, even though the jury member may not have much experience in that area. Notes are important to newer filmmakers and are valued. Examples include: Advice; What stands out?; What needs to be worked on?; What missed the mark?; Did the catch (theme) make sense in the context of their film?; What was successful or shows promise?
3. Each filmmaker is at a different level of experience and knowledge, and there are varying levels of quality within these films. They should be assessed according to their individual merits, strengths and weaknesses and not in comparison to the other films presented.
4. There was no rating criteria for the films submitted, so they may be at different rating and content warning levels as well. Please be aware that some films may deal with mature subjects such as drug use, death, depression, suicide, violence and racism.
Please note: Some filmmakers did not add subtitles to their jury evaluation videos, so subtitles should not be taken in to consideration when evaluating the films.
