2024 Call for Board members
Looking to make an impact on Ottawa’s creative industry? We are seeking new board members to bring Digi60 into a new era!
Be a part of our mission over the next three years to consolidate our educational and mentorship programming to help emerging filmmakers from underserved communities make art for a better future.

As a board member you get to help:
- design the annual filmmakers festival
- decide on fundraising goals and approaches
- plan and implement year-round programming for emerging filmmakers
- support and mentor filmmakers and creatives
What you get as a board member:
- insider knowledge and contacts of Ottawa’s film industry
- mentorship and experience in project management and event planning, fundraising, in a not for profit setting
- opportunities to shine in your specific area of expertise for community building
- training specific to board policy and operations
- shawarma (or other food) at in person meetings/ workshops
What you bring:
- your creativity and initiative
- your passion for building community
- a specific skill (e.g. social media, accounting, legal, project management, party planning… etc.)
What’s involved:
- 2 year term minimum (first year to learn the ropes and 2nd year to really shine!)
- monthly Board meetings (2 hours max)
- up to 10 volunteer hours at events throughout the year in a leadership role (as host, greeter, MC, facilitator, etc.)
- be part of the team that supports the Filmmakers’ festival at the end of the year (3 days)
