With the the launch of the Film Chats Podcast this week, we thought it would be a good time to introduce the host podcast, Samphe Ballamingie.
Samphe graduated from Carleton University with a major in Sociology and minor in Environmental Studies. Her degree gave her a critical lens that she brought to bear in her interviews with filmmakers on the issues of representation in storytelling. A filmmaker and writer, her recent projects include: How Dare You, screened by the Mobile Film Festival and winner of the Extra Court Award; Profile of An Artist: Taras Tolstikov, filmed and produced in Budapest, Hungary; Zvolen Revisited, filmed and produced in Slovakia. She has published articles for FASSinate Magazine, Open Shelf, Shameless Mag, and Carleton University publications.
