Intro to Cinematography - SOLD OUT

Cinematographer Matthew MacDonald will be leading a comprehensive introduction to cinematography and lighting at the Digital Arts Resource Centre. This workshop for emerging camera operators and aspiring cinematographers will allow participants to become familiar with the camera and lighting offerings of DARC as well as a general introduction to cinematography as an art and craft, followed by and opportunity to test out different lighting setups to explore some of the concepts he will be discussing.

This is an excellent introduction workshop which will compliment a more in-depth 2-day workshop at Affinity Productions in January.

This is an in-person workshop, with a maximum of 8 participants.

Biography

This workshop will be taught by local Ottawa Cinematographer Matthew A. MacDonald, who has worked in virtually every genre, from narrative and documentary features and broadcast television series to cooking shows, factual entertainment, fashion and lifestyle, historical drama, commercials and more.
