Christine Maki
Producer, CBC Creator Network
Christine Maki is an award-winning producer with CBC Ottawa's content diversification and creator network unit. What this means is she works with storytellers across the community to tell stories in all different ways, from first person written pieces to creative videos, to everything in between.
Before this, she spent 10 years putting together CBC radio's Ottawa Morning show, and before that she worked for a smattering of programs for CBC in both Toronto and Quebec City.
She likes riding bikes, reading books, playing music and uncovering something new.
Nickie Shobeiry
Media Producer & Journalist
A filmmaker and journalist, Nickie Shobeiry is a second-gen Iranian sharing stories of joy from her culture.
Nickie has produced, written and hosted documentaries for Bell and CBC, and is a fellow of the Netflix-Banff Diversity of Voices. As a journalist, she has bylines in Globe & Mail, Shondaland, CBC and more, and champions all types of local media.
Jason Levy
Producer, Bell Fibe TV1
Jason Levy is a producer for Bell Canada TV1, Bell’s community access channel. TV1 has the mandate to fund community-relevant programming with emerging filmmakers.
Before TV1 Jason spent the last few decades in the production industry as a producer, post-facility manager, editor, and more. He is keen to meet emerging filmmakers and hear fresh ideas.
