Nakesha will talk about the process of working into film and TV key makeup roles and give advice to makeup artists looking to transition.

This workshop is for makeup artists looking to break through into the film and tv industry.

Kate will walk actors through the basics of the general American accent.

Limited to 8 participants of the 60-Day Challenge.

Busy Ottawa Director Max McGuire will review the jury notes and give feedback directly to 60-Day Challenge participants in a constructive peer environment that will allow the filmmakers to take the advice, plan their next film and grow in their work.

11:00 AM - 12:00 PM Authentic Storytelling Panel with Aishani Chakravarty of Creatorland and Fitch Jean of Lenz Studios.

Aishani and Fitch will discuss the importance of telling stories in media from an authentic point of view. Facilitated by Maissa Houri, Director of Equity Initatives.

This panel will discuss leadership in Ottawa’s film and television industry and how we can support independent filmmakers in their journey.

2:30 PM - 3:30 PM Now What? Talk with Christopher Giroux of Vortex Productions.

This talk will focus on how independent filmmakers can create a path forward after their short film. Christopher will pull from his experience of beginning his career in short films, to working in distribution, to now being SVP of Vortex Productions.
